日本で獲れてるサバの大半がマサバですが、そのマサバの資源量が急激に減少しています。
その理由は色々ありますが、獲りすぎや気候変動はもちろん、
・黒潮大蛇行の影響で三陸沖に親潮が差し込まず、マサバが来遊しない。
・普段2歳で卵を持つところが、近年3歳でも成熟(抱卵)していない個体が多い。
・漁獲物調査でも、卵稚仔調査でも、調査船調査でも産卵場が見つからない。
などなど、絶滅するんじゃないかって思う(個人的な見解)くらいには種として弱ってる気がします。
みなさん、マサバに少し気を配ってあげてください🙇♀️
