This past year has been a “journey”—filled with unpreventable challenges, growth, and unforgettable moments. Studying abroad and chasing my dreams hasn’t always been easy, but one thing that has always kept me going is the incredible support I’ve received from all of you.

To my amazing guests, thank you for always being there, for supporting someone like me, and for enjoying my piano playing. I still can’t believe that my music means something to you, even to someone I haven’t met, and it truly gives me the strength to keep going forward.

I’m beyond grateful to have you all in my life. Here’s to another year of music, learning, and sharing this “new journey”together.

I remember I used to love high-school based anime’s so much, after school I would watch all of the ones I had on my watch list till dinner time and then go back to my room and search for more. I was still 14-15 and the idea of going to high school was such a dream, I knew that when I did get to go that I wanted to change myself and get better and make friends and have memories to look back

But now it’s just a bitter old wish, I never got to go in the end because of my situation it would’ve been really difficult for me to go and not be able to understand the language, I remember the moment my mom asked me and I said i don’t think I can go and I cried every night in my room alone

I stopped watching anime since, not just high school but any kind, it just reminded me of how much I looked forward to going and how I would live a life where I can tell stories of my high school life and friends and love that I experienced

If I could turn back time
I wish I went to high school

【好きな曲紹介】#7

今回は「affection」
シングル『復活LOVE』収録

この曲は、しっとりめなラブソングで、切ないイントロから始まる落ち着いた曲となっている。この曲が収録されているシングルの『復活LOVE』自体がそもそもラブソングで、1度別れた恋人とやり直すといった世界観となっているが、この「affection」は現在進行形の恋物語を描いているように感じる。

嵐の曲にはたくさんラブソングがあるが、この曲の切なさや優しさはその中でも何かいい意味で違うものを感じるし、王道っぽい感じもする。私はこれも「隠れ名曲」と呼ばれる中に入る曲だと思うくらい、何回も聞きたくなるしカラオケでも歌いたくなるような曲で、特にサビ直前の一瞬のピアノパートが本当にいい味を出している。そして、2サビ終わりの間奏で、力強いメロディで溢れそうな溜まっていた感情を表現しているのがまたいい。そう、ラブソングに限らず、曲には感情の起伏がこもっていて決して平坦なものではない、それがわかりやすく表現されているのがこの部分だと私は感じた。
そこから続くラストサビで、サビの印象がガラッと変わる。1番と同じ歌詞で同じキーなのに、間奏の力強さを経てから聞くこのサビは、それまでの落ち着いた印象から、闇に光が差すように明るさを伴った印象へと変わる。(音楽の力というものか…？)

この曲について調べていくと「民謡音階」なるものが使われていることで、私たちが懐かしさや温かみを感じるようになっていることがわかったが、私はその辺りの知識は無いのであまり言及はできない。ただ1つ言えるのは、私はこの「affection」は、以前紹介した「Still…」と同じような優しさを感じる曲で、アラフェスなどのコンサートで披露されてもよかったのでは無いかと思うくらいの名曲であるということである。(いわゆる「隠れ名曲」というものかもしれない。)
